BSA

I've owned this old rod brake BSA for about 14 years and my old man stored at his place in Mallorca. It has great patina and every thing works well. All it needs are some new inner tubes and its ready to go. Mind you the village is in the mountains and this thing weighs almost as much as an Electra Glide so not sure how much use it will get. This post is for you Toshi

Jeff in action.

On the 5th of August, I moved from Detroit to Los Angeles with my girlfriend and everything we owned in the back of a rented truck. Couldn't help but feel like early settlers in a covered wagon, leaving the old life behind and moving west for the promise of something better. What's more American than that? We arrived in the city of Angels on the 9th of August, and less than a week later we saddled up the garbage wagon and made tracks north to Portland for a wedding. I don't recall many details of our two-wheeled journey, mainly because this month all blends together as one perpetual blur, but what sticks out is this: 1.) Riding motorcycles on the east side of the Sierra Mountains in the summer is the wrong thing to do. Swamp ass is a constant, and there is no relief from the heat. But the mountains are pretty. 2.) The Oregon coast is absolutely stunning, and the Pacific ocean is one bad mother. Period. And lastly, 3.) Thor at See See motorcycle helps run the coolest motorcycle and coffee shop ever, and their dirt bike-turned-cafe racer will be coming to an issue of DicE in the near future. In the mean time, I'm glad to be back in my new home of L.A., and I look forward to help keeping DicE magazine the best flippin' magazine in the whole wide world.

Yours truly, Jordan Zielke

Birthday Ride. A Two Day Adventure. Pt 1.

It was my birthday on the 14th and I was all like "I'm going to ignore it 'cos I'm old and I don't care" and everyone was like "Don't be an idiot" and then I was going "See if I care" etc etc so some good friends and I all got together and took a 250 mile back country ride up on highway 33 and onto the 166 in So Cal to a little town called Los Alamos. Without doubt one of the worlds best motorcycle routes. The sun shone, the roads where empty and we had a lot of fun. Deans bike wasn't ready in time even after an 18 hour last minute push so he followed in the El Camino with Larry (he took these great photos) and Johan. Wil, Robo, Steven, Dan Collins, Daniel Ash and myself made up the bikes and Tina joined us in the evening. Friday night got completely out of control and I don't think the town will ever have us back. But that's a whole other story. Very good times indeed. More pics coming soon.
